The remote friend or user sent you a request, often in the form of a question, and timed out or encountered impatience upon awaiting your response. The request was abandoned as your response may no longer be required or may be considered obsolete.

Causes may be any or all of the following:

• You were being an ignorant jerk and ignoring your friend.
• You were AFK or otherwise away, and simultaneously committed a Deceptive Status Failure.
• You're technologically inept and failed to notice the flashing IM window in the taskbar at the bottom of your screen.
• You're blind, deaf, turned off your monitor and muted your speakers, or you abruptly fell asleep.

This type of error is fatal and permanent; it cannot be rectified.

The key is to handling this error is prevention. Be alert while talking to others, and always be available by means of cell phone, email or other forms of communication. Make sure your cell phone's volume is turned to the max while you're asleep to ensure you'll waken upon request. Never turn off or silence your phone, especially in noisy movie theaters and classrooms.
