Desk Tasks is a simple application that helps you keep a small list of things to remember. It's useful for writing down your homework or to-do items for the day which are too trivial to add to a calendar.

How to add a task
Click in the textbox on the bottom. Type a task, and then hit
Enter to add the task to the bottom of the list, or
Shift +
Enter to add it to the top.
How to delete a task
Select the task you wish to delete, and then press
Delete. You can also double click any task to delete it.
How to edit a task
Click on the task you wish to edit. The task will appear in the textbox on the bottom. Modify the task in the textbox. When you are done, you may hit
Enter to add another task.
How to move a task, method 1
Click on the task. Use the
Up and
Down keys to move the task.
How to move a task, method 2
Click in the textbox on the bottom. Then, if a task is selected, hit
Enter or
Escape to deselect it. Press
Up or
Down until you select the task you wish to move. Now, hold down the
Shift key, and use the
Up and
Down arrows to move the task. To stop moving the task, release the
Shift key.
How to move the text file
Moving the text file will keep the current tasks in the list but store them elsewhere on your computer. Right click
Desk Tasks on top, and then click
Change text file / Move current text file.
How to use another text file
Using another text file is useful for recovering your desktasks from a backup or another computer. If you use another text file, the current tasks will disappear and the tasks from the file you chose will be loaded. Right click
Desk Tasks on top, and then click
Change text file / Use another text file. You can then select an existing text file or create a new one.
How to or how not to start Desk Tasks with Windows
Right click
Desk Tasks at the top, and then check or uncheck
Options / Start automatically.
How to move or resize Desk Tasks
To move DeskTasks, click and drag the dark blue title bar that says
Desk Tasks. To resize, click and drag one of the edges or corners (the teal area).
