Grade WhatIf™

Grade WhatIf™ will help you calculate what grade you need on an assignment, test or final examination in order to get a specific grade in a class.

Joe Pumpkins has a 87.50% in math right now. The final is worth 130 points in the Tests category of his grade, which is worth 70% of his cumulative grade. Can Pumpkins pull off an A? Grade WhatIf™ will help him find out!

There are categories, and beneath each it says its percent of the cumulative grade.

The assignment or test of interest:

	Is its own category. It is worth a fixed percentage of my grade. (E.g. a final worth 20% of the cumulative grade.)
	Is worth a certain number of points in a category with other assignments. (E.g. a final worth 100 points in the tests and quizzes category.)

There are no grading categories, or categories are not weighted.

Warning: Even if Edline does not show any categories, your teacher may still be using them. If no categories are shown and TOTALS AND AVERAGES does not appear on your report, then your teacher may be using weighted grading categories. In this case, Grade WhatIf will not work for your class until your teacher changes this setting.
